2.4. Fourth study: Optimal data management

A central aspect of RAG systems is the optimal structuring of data packages to ensure that they can be found and used efficiently. Standards such as iiRDS (Intelligent Information Request and Delivery Standard) as well as approaches from the Semantic Web and RDF (Resource Description Framework) are used here. The aim is to develop mechanisms that ensure the effective management and retrievability of structured data.

The third study is also dedicated to the ideal data management for RAG systems, especially in publishing houses. Here, not just individual, but often hundreds or even thousands of RAG systems need to be trained and regularly updated.

Content delivery service for RAG systems

A Content Delivery Service (CDS) is a system that provides and manages content efficiently. In the context of RAG systems, a CDS based on metadata, e.g. in RDF format (Resource Description Framework), can help to keep content structured and retrievable.

With a CDS, RAG systems can access a central, standardised data source that is continuously updated. This significantly improves the scalability, consistency and maintenance of the systems and enables efficient management of large volumes of data - a decisive factor for publishers and companies with many RAG models running in parallel.
